Dear Valued LEGEAR Community,
We want to inform you of a significant change in how LEGEAR will operate. After careful consideration, we made the difficult decision to close our Melbourne store on April 14, 2025, and shift our focus entirely to our online platform at LEGEAR.com.au.
This decision was not made lightly, and we understand it may be disappointing news to some. Closing the store means saying goodbye to a space that has served our customers and community.
This strategic move will allow our team to focus on the whole of Australia via our new online systems and support the extensive supply activities we undertake with numerous Government and commercial entities. The shift from POS to Online mirrors the requirements and expectations set by our marketplace and customers, who have steadily shifted from purchasing in-store to online over the last decade or so.
Over the past 18 months, we’ve worked tirelessly to integrate LEGEAR into ADA’s business systems through the D365 platform. This integration has brought about significant improvements, ensuring faster and more seamless order processing to better meet your needs.
The updated LEGEAR.com.au online platform is designed to provide an improved, more efficient shopping experience with enhanced navigation, advanced search features, and optimised content. Focusing solely on our online platform allows us to serve a broader customer base across Australia, ensuring better stock availability and timely delivery wherever you are.

Q1. Why is the store closing?
After many meaningful years, we’ve made the tough decision to close our LEGEAR physical store so we can focus solely on our online platform.
This strategic move is being undertaken to allow our team to focus on the whole of Australia via our new online systems and support the extensive supply activities we undertake with numerous Government & Commercial entities. Q2. When is the last day the store will be open?
Our final day of operation will be 14th April. Until then, we’re hosting a Closing Sale from 28th March to 14th April. Don’t miss this chance to shop in-store one last time with 25% off storewide and 40% off discontinued gear!
Q3. Will online orders still be fulfilled during the closure period?
Absolutely! Our online store at www.legear.com.au will remain fully operational throughout and after the store closure. We’ll ensure that your online shopping experience remains seamless and convenient.
Q4. Can I get a price adjustment on an item I recently bought if it goes on sale during the clearance?
We understand this question comes up often during sales, and we recommend reaching out directly to our customer service team at support@legear.com.au to see how we can assist you with your query.
Q5. What is happening to the LEGEAR brand? Will there be other stores opening in the future?
This isn’t goodbye for LEGEAR! While we’re closing our physical store, we’re continuing to grow and evolve online. Our focus is now on creating an even better shopping experience at www.legear.com.au. At this time, we don’t have plans for new physical stores, but we’re committed to bringing you the best through our online platform.
Q6. What about my in-store credit/gift card?
Your in-store credit and gift cards are completely safe! They can continue to be used in-store until the closure date and online afterward without any expiry. We want to ensure your experience remains seamless during this transition. For any further questions, please contact our customer service team at support@legear.com.au.
Q7. How do I return or exchange an item I bought in-store?
We’ll continue accepting returns and exchanges for eligible items in-store until 14th April. After the store closes, you’ll be able to manage eligible returns through our website. Our customer service team will be available to assist you if there are any issues at support@legear.com.au.
Q8. What if the item I want to return was a final sale?
We kindly remind you that all items marked as final sale from the store closing sale are non-refundable and not eligible for return, in line with our store policy. We truly appreciate your understanding and are here if you have any questions about your purchase. If the item is faulty or within the warranty period, please contact us on support@legear.com.au to organise a return and credit.
Q9. I have a promo code or discount voucher. Can I still use it before the store closes?
Yes, promo codes and discount vouchers are still valid and can be used either in-store (until14th April) or online at www.legear.com.au. Make sure to redeem them before the expiry date!
Q10. What happens to the warranty on items I purchased?
Your peace of mind is important to us. Please know that all warranties on products you’ve purchased from us remain valid. You can refer to the warranty documentation provided with your item for guidance on initiating a claim. If you have further questions, please contact our customer service team at support@legear.com.au.”
